How “Remnants of Light” came to be
Remnants of Light was born from a reflection on human fragility and what remains when something breaks—within ourselves and in our relationships.
I imagined two figures locked in an embrace.
Their bodies are marked by cracks, as if experiences, wounds, and emotions had left visible scars upon their skin.
I didn’t want to represent perfection, but vulnerability:
that moment when a human being stops defending themselves and shows who they truly are.
The light emerging from the fractures is not salvific or spectacular.
It is a residual light—imperfect, almost involuntary.
It is what remains after the pain, after the loss, after the transformation.
In that embrace, the figures try not to disappear completely.
Remnants of lightis the story of that which continues to exist, even when everything seems to be cracking.
SHOWS
From 26 September to 25 October 2026, I will be taking part in the Biennale di Messina – Expo Arte dei Due Mari, this year dedicated to the theme “Connections”.
“Oltre” (Beyond) — which will be exhibited at the Monte di Pietà in Messina — is a work centred on the idea of limits and the possibility of crossing them. From an almost entirely white surface, a hand emerges: an essential presence, suspended between separation and encounter, seemingly reaching out for contact and opening towards what is not yet visible.
“Oltre” is part of my ongoing exploration of identity and the transformation of the human being, understood as a constantly evolving process, shaped by experiences, relationships and the transitions that mark our existence.
I am delighted to bring this research to the Biennale through a work whose very title suggests movement: going beyond what separates us, beyond what we know, towards the possibility of connection.

Why i create blurred faces
My faces don’t tell who you are; they don’t seek resemblance. They tell what you feel.
They cannot be grasped: they vanish midway, dissolve into color, and remain suspended between being and getting lost.
I blur them because I want everyone to be able to recognize themselves, without feeling observed. They are bodies with cracks and dissolving souls.
For me, the blurred face is not an absence: it is an open space where the unconscious finds a voice, where every viewer can find their own emotion.
They are fragile, incomplete presences, like all of us. But for this very reason, they are full of life.
