How “Remnants of Light” came to be

Remnants of Light was born from a reflection on human fragility and what remains when something breaks—within ourselves and in our relationships.

I imagined two figures locked in an embrace.

Their bodies are marked by cracks, as if experiences, wounds, and emotions had left visible scars upon their skin.

I didn’t want to represent perfection, but vulnerability:

that moment when a human being stops defending themselves and shows who they truly are.

The light emerging from the fractures is not salvific or spectacular.

It is a residual light—imperfect, almost involuntary.

It is what remains after the pain, after the loss, after the transformation.

In that embrace, the figures try not to disappear completely.

Remnants of lightis the story of that which continues to exist, even when everything seems to be cracking.
